Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis will undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his left hand, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
The human hand is an intricate system comprised of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and blood vessels. When injury occurs—or congenital deformities, tumors, infections, or other medical conditions are diagnosed—hand surgery may be necessary.
